This fun "mini-musical" adaptation of the timeless fairy tale features all of the memorable characters and age-old lessons that've made Beauty and the Beast a favorite for countless generations. It tells the story of Belle, a bright and beautiful young woman who's grown weary of fighting off the advances of the town's most arrogant bachelor. When her father becomes imprisoned in a mysterious castle -- full of enchanted characters, including a prince who's been turned into a monstrous beast -- she selflessly trades her own freedom for her father's. In the end, both Belle and the Beast learn valuable lessons about friendship and love, and that true radiance comes from within. All kids will receive a toy musical instrument upon entering the theater and are encouraged to boo for the villains, cheer for the heroes and sing and dance along in this fun-filled production. I took my granddaughter who is 1 1/2 to see this show. I took my older grandchildren to one of their one hour shows and it was fantastic. This show was perfect for the one year old. It was only 30 minutes and it was mostly singing. She clapped and knew some of the toddler songs they sang. The cast was very good and spent time with the kids after the show. This show wasn't as elaborate as their one hour shows but I recommend it for ages 1-4. The pajama style costuming was cute, my gd didn't do well at Disneyland because the characters costumes scared her to death, so I was glad this wasn't scary for her.
