The frighteningly talented Rob Zombie, the singer-songwriter, musician and film director who's turned his obsession with the horror genre into movie and music gold, returns to his rock-show roots on his latest tour, complete with his signature pyrotechnics and mind-blowing SFX. A seven-time Grammy nominee, the rocker's fifth solo album, the intriguingly titled Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor, debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, spinning off a pair of successful singles, "Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Super Town," and a cover of "We're an American Band." Meanwhile, Zombie's had phenomenal success as the writer/director of six highly-grossing horror films. But there's nothing like experiencing this artist's singular vision and sound live on stage. Buddy Guy is engaging and can play a variety of blues styles. I would say his singing voice was powerful but something of an acquired taste as were his stage antics. George Thorogood was thoroughly good albeit predictable. His voice and guitar playing sound seemed to have improved from a show I saw perhaps 7 years ago. He always works hard to connect with the audience.

Beautiful location, perfect weather, and killer music. What an unbeatable combination. It was a Sunday night and not a big draw so the event staff allowed for people to get better seats without hassle. Can't wait for the next show!
