After getting his start in Motown as part of the Commodores, singer-songwriter Lionel Richie became one of the most successful male solo artists of the 1980s, with hits like "Truly," the Caribbean-flavored "All Night Long," "Endless Love" with Diana Ross, "Hello" and "Say You, Say Me," which also won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. Richie's concerts tend to become giant sing-alongs, so brush up on your lyrics and get ready for a night of magic. Sharing the stage with the five-time Grammy winner will be CeeLo Green. Known for his solo career as well as being a part of the soul duo Gnarls Barkley, Green has recorded numerous hits and is most widely recognized for the chart-topping single "Crazy" and his time as a judge on The Voice. I saw Los Lonely Boys at KFOG's Kaboom and was not impressed. However, it was the venue and not the product. In a small setting like The Mountain Winery the performers really connect with the audience and they had the place rocking. There were very few moments when the crowd wasn't on their feet enjoying the music. They played until 10:11 concluding with "How Far is Heaven"; at that time my wife and I left because the 'rule' is no music after 10PM. On our walk to the parking lot they came back out for an encore which we missed...so much for that 10PM rule.
Los Lonely Boys bring their Acoustic Brotherhood Tour to Mountain Winery for a night of Latin rock. The Texas-based Los Lonely Boys are a Tex-Mex rock group consisting of three brothers. The Grammy-winning band is best known for the monster hit, "Heaven." Appearing with Los Lonely Boys are Grammy-nominated blues-rockers, The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
