For this unique concert, the San Jose Wind Symphony's own musician-members have chosen the works to be played. Among the favorites picked by the players are Bach's Fugue à la Gigue and Liszt's Les Preludes. The lively program, entitled The Musician's World, will also find the SJWS sharing the stage with a guest ensemble -- the inspired, virtuosic Quadre Horn Quartet performing Schumann's Konzertstück. These funny and highly entertaining French horn masters have won awards and played concerts across the country. Learn More
San Jose Wind Symphony's second concert of the season takes the ensemble on the road, as they explore the highways and back roads of the good ol' USA. This musical journey takes the audience from Schuman’s New England Tryptich, through Copland’s Tenderland and on down to Karrick’s Bayou Breakdown. Special guest Dale Wolford performs Creston’s classic Concerto for Saxophone.
