After getting his start in Motown as part of the Commodores, singer-songwriter Lionel Richie became one of the most successful male solo artists of the 1980s, with hits like "Truly," the Caribbean-flavored "All Night Long," "Endless Love" with Diana Ross, "Hello" and "Say You, Say Me," which also won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. Richie's concerts tend to become giant sing-alongs, so brush up on your lyrics and get ready for a night of magic. Sharing the stage with the five-time Grammy winner will be CeeLo Green. Known for his solo career as well as being a part of the soul duo Gnarls Barkley, Green has recorded numerous hits and is most widely recognized for the chart-topping single "Crazy" and his time as a judge on The Voice. San Jose Wind Symphony's second concert of the season takes the ensemble on the road, as they explore the highways and back roads of the good ol' USA. This musical journey takes the audience from Schuman’s New England Tryptich, through Copland’s Tenderland and on down to Karrick’s Bayou Breakdown. Special guest Dale Wolford performs Creston’s classic Concerto for Saxophone.
