If you're looking for two and a half hours of fantastic entertainment, catch the second night of Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers concert tonight with the Abigail Washburn Band, the (unannounced) opening act. Abigail began the night with several refreshing blue grassy/bluesy tunes. Her Bonnie Rait/Melissa Etheridge tone and timing impressed us. After a twenty minute break, Steve and the band came on stage and mesmerized the crowd for another two hours. Steve is a true professional in whatever he does. We knew he played the banjo but not to the expertise we experienced last night. His pickin' and the band's vocals and music had everyone dancing in their seats. Do yourselves a favor and buy the Gold Star 1/2 price tickets (because the food up there at the winery is way overpriced) and enjoy!
