It was fun and our guide was very nice. The group was mostly made up of people who had never kayaked, but it was still fun. Everyone was very nice.Written on Jun 15 2009

Just Fabulous... The guide was well informed and patient. The route he chose was excellent. Things were going so well, (weater/tide) the tour guide kept us out for several more hours. Must admit one of the best avventures I have experienced... DO IT.Written on Jun 08 2009

The group was a good size and friendly. The weather was perfect. We all were moving along and the kayak tour got extended, so we saw more wildlife (including nesting swans), cranes eating fish, osprey feeding their young, and beautiful landscapes. We laughed and listened to our guide's travel stories while munching snacks on a half-way break. The very clear instructions made the learning process easy to master (except for the getting in and out of the kayaks). Overall it was terrific fun. When is the next tour? I'm ready to go again!Written on Jun 08 2009

Description
Come join Terrapin Adventures and explore the many waterways of the area. Meet at the Terrapin Adventures base camp at 8:45am and then caravan to the put-in site just 20 minutes away. The guides will teach you the basics of kayaking and you will soon be one with your boat. The boats are very safe and stable, track well and are responsive to your paddling efforts.
As you paddle, the guides will share their knowledge of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Kayakers often see many different kinds of birds, fish and turtles while meandering quietly on the water. Your group will stop along the tour so everyone can stretch their legs and have a snack. Your kayak is equipped with plenty of legroom, as well as dry storage for your personal belongings.
Terrapin Adventures suggests that you bring water shoes, a change of clothes, towel, and sun screen. Water, a snack and all the equipment are provided.
You will spend about 2 hours on the water. You must be 10 years of age or older and able to swim. For every two children under age 14, there must be one accompanying adult. A personal flotation device must be worn at all times.
