Our guide was attentive and informative. He fit each rider with the appropriate height bike and helmet, and explained the gears and brakes. At the start of the ride we had a little time to practice our balance and gears. We rode from Savage Mills parking lot to Elkhorn Lake on trails that were partly paved, dirt and gravel. It was a beautiful ride mostly easy terrain. However, for a 59 year old female who hasn't been on a bike for over 30 years it was an intense workout.

Perfect workout for me. I had not been on a bike for over 6 years. The group had all different levels of riders. I happended to be the slowest, but it still was a great workout. I was able to work at my own pace and not get left too far behind. I can't wait until another ride fits my schedule on the weekend.

Matt, the owner, was a wonderful guide, looking out personally for all three participants. The Patuxent Trail was a easy, but very enjoyable, ride--most of the time through very pleasant, shaded areas.
