A former University of Miami football player turned stand-up comic, actor and author, Finesse Mitchell may be best known as a former cast member on Saturday Night Live, but he also recently wrapped the 2013 Shaq All-Star Comedy Jam tour and TV special. As if he weren't busy enough, this talented performer also starred in his own Comedy Central special, currently co-stars on the Disney Channel's hit series A.N.T. Farm, appears regularly on Chelsea Lately and writes a popular column for Essence magazine, not to mention performing stand-up at clubs across the country. Learn More

an hour and a half. half of that was an introduction and 2 openers. So his set was 20 minutes? The gay guy impression was pretty funny and he seemed to be interested in every day issues with a message. We spent more on the drinks than the tixs.
A recent winner at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, Townsend brings an enthusiastic honesty and a penchant for pushing buttons. He is so well versed on current events and topics no one should ever keep stored in their mental Rolodex, there’s no telling where he will end up. With a versatility and mass appeal that is possessed by only a few, Townsend can reach any audience with any background. A comedian since 1996, he has opened for the likes of Damon Wayans (My Wife and Kids), Tommy Davidson (In Living Color), Adelle Givens (Def Comedy Jam), Dave Coulier (Full House), Mike Epps (Honeymooners, Next Friday), and D.L. Hughley (Kings of Comedy Tour, The Hugleys). He has also performed on four seasons of BET’s Comic View, and is the winner of the 2000 Miller Genuine Draft Comedy Search. A regular part of Mikey Os Holiday Giggle charity event, Townsend also travels with Mikey Os Cultural Madness, a show featuring comics of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, promoting unity through laughter.
