Full Price:
$17.00 - $20.00
Our Price:
$8.50 - $10.00

A true double-threat, actor-comedian Ralph Harris has made it big as both an actor and a stand-up. Harris' acting career was the first to take off, with a starring role on '90s TGIF sitcom On Our Own and guest spots on Seinfeld, Living Single and more. He's gone on to feature film work, including appearances in Dreamgirls and Evan Almighty. Always a stand-up at heart, Harris has had specials on Comedy Central and HBO, appeared all over late-night TV, and competed as a finalist on Last Comic Standing. His act pulls from his real life and large family, and often finds Harris slipping in and out of hilarious characters. Learn More

As a guy who has seen comedians in nothing but their "natural environment" (run down places with dark back rooms), walking into this massive 500 seat arena I was blown away*. It felt like I was going to be on a HBO special or something. Of course I was not but it felt grand all the same.

I was also surprised to see the long list of big acts that have been on this stage. I mean everyone and their momma has done an act here. Isn't Lisa Lampanelli someones momma**?! The club is super clean, drinks are strong, there is nasty greasy food (if that's your thing), and the staff is pretty good considering the crowd. Speaking of the crowd, it must have been an off night. The room had this weird vibe, not that the comedians were amazing or anything but still how about a laugh people or some clapping?!

There were two opening acts and then the headliner Owen Benjamin. The first two were alright and as for Owen... I'll just say that he is a talented piano player. Later on while searching the maze for a bathroom I came across the second performer who told me where to go and so in being polite I said "nice set". He replied "Thank god you didn't say that to me at the urinal". Now THAT was funny!

My assessment is that the show was more comedic act then improve, though I guess there were moments. Regardless I think I'll stick with the small venues, it's just a preference.

* Yes, I do know I used "blown" and "dark back room" in the same sentence without making the dirty connection.
** No, Lisa Lampanelli is not someones momma, at least not in the "given birth" sort of sense.

The show was excellent. I have to say the food was terrible though. They did refund the cost which was nice. For the price of the tickets I might make this a weekly thing.
