Rocky LaPorte headlines at the Schaumburg Improv. One of the Italian Kings of Comedy, LaPorte was an interstate truck driver and a Golden Gloves boxer before getting into comedy. He's appeared on The Tonight Show, had his own half-hour special on Comedy Central, was part of the "Italian Kings of Comedy" tour, and has appeared on several TV sit-coms. When actor/comedian Tim Allen saw LaPorte on The Tonight Show, he called him his "favorite new comic" and signed him to appear in his 2006 movie The Shaggy Dog.

Just delightful! Rocky's persona is he's the guy on the bar stool next to you has a story or a comment about everyone and anything. He'll make you laugh with his delivery and the content of his observation as opposed to resorting constantly with swearing to get the laugh. He's insightful about human nature and by the time he get to the punchline he's twisted his insights so much you can't but help to laugh. He's really terrific.

The venue was great! Rocky LaPorte was fantastic! the 2 gents who "warmed up" the crowd were very funny

speakers muffled all the high end vocals.
hard of hearing ? - do not go there.

I love sarcasm, so Rocky is perfect. And his quirky delivery style is funny just to watch, even if he wasn't already hysterical. Try it at least one time... you'll be back!
