Godfrey is one of the hottest comedians on the circuit. His performance in Zoolander has achieved cult status; he is recognized across the country as the beloved “7UP Guy” from 7UP’s national advertising campaign; and he has cracked up moviegoers in Johnson Family Vacation, The Cook Out with Queen Latifah, Phat Girlz starring Academy Award-winning actress Monique, and_ Soul Plane_, alongside Snoop Dogg.
For years, Godfrey provided pop culture commentary on VH1 as a talking head and also appeared on Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen. As one of the most dominant forces in the comedy circuit, Godfrey is in demand as both a host and a standup headliner at the nation’s premiere comedy clubs, and has performed at comedy festivals in Montreal, Toronto, and Chicago, as well as the Just For Laughs Roadshow.
With his fourth appearance on BET’s Comic View, a guest starring role on 30 Rock, an animated series in development with FOX, and his one-hour special for Comedy Central filmed this past January, Godfrey is clearly on the verge of super-stardom.
