Perhaps best known for starring in his own hit television sitcom "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper," which ran for five seasons on ABC, and for hosting "Showtime At The Apollo," comedian, actor, host Mark Curry is packing the laughs as one of the top national touring comedy acts.
In addition to his stand-up performances, Mark recently appeared opposite Kirstie Alley in a recurring role on Showtime’s “Fat Actress.” Mark also put his golden touch on BET's comedy talent search show “Coming to the Stage.” With Mark as the host, this series became the network’s number one show. Mark also spent time working as an NBA correspondent for “ESPN’s Cold Pizza” and performed stand up specials which can regularly be seen on HBO and Comedy Central.
Mark has countless other television & film credits, including: his own Comedy Central stand-up comedy special, three years of hosting duties on "Showtime at the Apollo," and starring in the feature "The Fanatics."
Mark grew up in Oakland, California. He still spends much of his time there, performing to sold-out crowds and encouraging students to stay off drugs and follow their dreams.
