Legoland was just OK. I think I was expecting a little too much. I thought it would be bigger with more attractions. A little dissapointed. But, thanks to Goldstar prices I wasn't too upset. If I paid full regular price going in with 2 adults and 2 kids, I would have been very upset. I do have to say though, the kids (8 yrs. and 5 yrs.old) enjoyed themselves, and I guess thats what counts!

For a regular priced ticket, I would not have been happy. But my kids enjoyed it, as did my husband.

The 4-D movie was very good, and so were the exhibits and play room.

Centered around the iconic interlocking colored bricks, the 30,000-square-foot LEGOLAND Discovery Center combines LEGO model building and unusual construction challenges with theme park-like attractions.

Activities include:
  • LEGO Factory Tour: Take a tour through the LEGO Factory with Professor Brick-a-Brack and experience a watch as real brick is being made. You can even take one home!
  • Dragon Ride: Climb aboard the Dragon Ride and take a journey through a medieval castle full of models created by LEGOLAND Master Model Makers. You never know what might be lurking around the next corner!
  • Spellbreaker 4D Movie Theater: A real movie experience! Thrilling 4D effects and surprise features make you feel part of the story as a dragon, a noble youth and a beautiful princess help rescue the kingdom from dark forces.
  • Miniland: Handmade by Master Model Makers, the Chicago skyline has been re-created exactly to scale with more than 10 million LEGO bricks. Don't miss the amazing transformation from day to night.
  • Build & Test: It's time to play! With more bricks than you can imagine, come and create what your mind desires. You can even test your creations on our speed ramp or earthquake table.
  • DUPLO Play: For those creative younger builders, there is a special DUPLO area full of great colorful bricks, animals, trucks and much more.
  • Model Builders Workshop: This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from the Master Model Maker. If you have a special model in mind, they will guide you to build it, or simply follow the model-of-the-day workshop to create a special model invented by LEGOLAND.
