A true double-threat, actor-comedian Ralph Harris has made it big as both an actor and a stand-up. Harris' acting career was the first to take off, with a starring role on '90s TGIF sitcom On Our Own and guest spots on Seinfeld, Living Single and more. He's gone on to feature film work, including appearances in Dreamgirls and Evan Almighty. Always a stand-up at heart, Harris has had specials on Comedy Central and HBO, appeared all over late-night TV, and competed as a finalist on Last Comic Standing. The comics before Louie were absolutely terrible. I didn't laugh once. Once Louie came out I was hopeful. He had some good stuff, but I think I was expecting something else. The crowd was a bit older (40-60) and I think the jokes were more fitting for them. Oh well.Written on Oct 27 2010

Louie had a great show. His show is clean, relevant and hilarious. He is one of those comedians who can invoke laughter with just his facial expressoins. His ad lib interactions with audience members were quick and very witty. I saw Louie 22 years ago and he's still got it.Written on Oct 23 2010

We had a great time. Louie has a great comedy style that is very funny without being offensive (no vulgarities or swearing), His set was very loose and he was trying out new material. Lots of improv during the last part of his set. Overall, he's just a very funny guy no matter what he is saying.Written on Oct 23 2010

Description
Two-time Emmy award winner Louie Anderson is one of the country’s most recognized and adored comics and was named by Comedy Central as “One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time.” Currently he is headlining in his own show, “Louie-Larger Than Life” at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino on the famed Las Vegas Strip.
Anderson began his career at a comedy club in his native Minneapolis, when on a dare from friends; he got up on stage and performed. His big break came in 1984 when he appeared on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson”, after which Anderson’s stand-up comedy career skyrocketed. Known as a “clean” comedian, his stories about growing up in the Midwest, being one of 11 children and dealing with an alcoholic father provided endless material for the comic with audiences of all types relating to his everyday life experiences.

Anderson also has guest starred on such popular sitcoms as “Scrubs” and “Grace Under Fire,” dramas like “Touched by an Angel” and “Chicago Hope.” He also has appeared in memorable featured roles in such films as “Coming to America” opposite Eddie Murphy.
