Sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll, druids, Vikings, Hindu goddesses ... and one little bumble bee with a big problem -- what else could they possibly have packed into this explosive, sexually charged, '70s-inspired psychedelic show? Dancers, singers and live musicians? Oh, don't worry -- they've got plenty of those, as well. The first staging of this exotic and exciting show since 2011, the Triple Door will soon find itself filled with a colorful kaleidoscope of choreographed dances, sexy burlesque performances and impressive live music featuring what The Examiner described as "powerful, mind-blowing vocals ... the band alone is worth the price of admission." So come strap yourself in for a 90-minute extravaganza of non-stop, Broadway-style excess at House of Thee Unholy. Learn More

The music was great, but the venue itself made a huge error in judgment. This artist has it's roots in classical music and there would be very quiet movements within a particular piece. Unfortunately, they had an event in the adjacent lounge which was very, very loud. Why they would schedule this event the same night a moody, atmospheric chamber style orchestra was performing is beyond me. Seems like a sophomoric mistake, which was surprising considering how long the Triple Door has been open and other visits have been much better than last night.

Kranky Records on Tour featuring:
A Winged Victory for the Sullen
with the ACME string ensemble
+ Benoît Pioulard, Ken Camden
Two greats of music in general, composer Dustin O'Halloran and Stars of the Lid member Adam Wiltzie have put their heads together and formed a new group, called A Winged Victory For The Sullen. Some could call it a supergroup, and you wouldn't actually be far off in that description. Regardless of just how good a group it is, their album has now got a UK release date after getting an international and US release date earlier last month. Their record is self-titled and will come out through the ever reliable Erased Tapes.
