Back Alley Barbers: Rock-Roots-Punk Band Returns
As precise as a straight blade -- and just as dangerous -- the music of Back Alley Barbers cuts to the quick. Inspired by Johnny Cash, The Nekromantix and Etta James, along with a dose of Sweeney Todd, the Barbers combine a splatterpunk rock aesthetic with haunting vocals and a dash of rootsy soul. Fronted by sultry chanteuse Queen Pirate, this four-piece outfit has been entrancing audiences up and down the West Coast and are making another highly-anticipated stop at Highway 99. Openers are local rockers The Amanda Hardy Band.

Seating is comfortable, but if you want to see the performers play --e.g. strumming the guitar, you would need to sit where you face the front of the state, as they might not turn toward your side as they perform.Michael Shrieve's Spellbinder info • Jun 30 2014 star this tip starred
