Rock "folk-tet" Blame Sally honed its sound for more than a decade and is now, according to the band, "tighter than a gnat's ass," with eerily melodic, hook-laden folk songs that have drawn critical and commercial acclaim. Blame Sally's last album, Speeding Ticket and a Valentine, was No. 52 in Acoustic Music's Top Albums of 2011, and now these four talented women are taking their engaging, harmonious show on the road. Joining them is singer-songwriter Rebecca Plonsky, whose folk songs range from brooding ambient to upbeat twang, showcasing her versatile nature.

World-Music Pioneers Baka Beyond Perform Live in Concert

With its rhythm-based mix of Celtic harmony and traditional African singing called Yelli, Baka Beyond is best known for its groundbreaking world-music debut disc, 1993's Spirit of the Forest. Their multicultural live shows have thrilled audiences around the globe, turning each concert into a joyful dance party. The band's roots reach to the African country of Cameroon, where married British musicians Martin Cradick and Su Hart began a musical collaboration with the Baka Pygmy people. Since then, they've also added Ayodele Scott, who brings a beat from her native Sierra Leone. Baka Beyond is a favorite at the famed Glastonbury Music Festival, which they've played 16 times, and now they're bringing their rain forest-based sound to the rainy city of Seattle. Learn More

The group exemplifies separate yet together. Individually they uniquely influence each song; by the end of the performance you have something that takes on the characteristics of a compilation.

Buying just 1 CD becomes very difficult.. :)

Venue was top drawer. Sound was out of this world. Place was packed and the energy in the room was fever pitch. Performance and arrangements were inspired. Food was good too.

My only regret is when everything is working like that you want the experience to continue for hours longer!!!!!!
