Cassandra Wilson is best known as a jazz singer and instrumentalist, but she has broken out of the traditional confines of the genre to include elements of blues, country and folk into her music. She draws on influences ranging from Miles Davis and Hank Williams to Joni Mitchell and Robert Johnson. In addition to her two Grammys, Wilson has won the Django D'Or and The Edison Music Award, and been recognized with a marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail. She also performed one of the leading roles in Wynton Marsalis' Blood on the Fields, the first jazz work to receive a Pulitzer Prize. Learn More

In two short years of knowing each other, Cahalen Morrison and Eli West have bred a new brother duo sound, employing old-time and bluegrass to deliver original songwriting. Well received, their debut record The Holy Coming of the Storm hit #34 on the Roots Music Report’s top folk albums of 2011. The record features Cahalen and Eli both on guitars, banjos, mandolins, and bouzoukis, and the production of legendary mandolin player Matt Flinner.
The road has become familiar for the two, with multiple tours to the UK (including the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow), and appearances in Germany, the Netherlands and Czech Republic … all between domestic touring throughout the U.S. Signing with Mongrel Music in 2012, the pair is excited for a great year of festivals and shows, as well as another record.
