The classic holiday film Miracle on 34th Street comes to the stage in a musical concert written by legendary composer Meredith Willson (The Music Man). "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" is among the great songs in this heartwarming celebration of the magic of the holidays. Using minimal staging, props and costumes, SHOWTUNES Theatre Company highlights the music and performances of rarely seen musicals. Originally produced on Broadway as Here's Love, Willson's adaptation centers on a department store Santa who claims to be the real Kris Kringle -- and has to prove it in court. Learn More

Great musical composition (Camille Saint-Saens...I recognized two pieces!), lovely piano-playing, and clever poet (Jack Prelutsky). Nice coupling of the music with the readings...Mr. Prelutsky is a good orator. My kids appreciated the event, but I did even more so!
Welcome to our carnival,
Where birds and beasts and such
Behave a lot like people do,
At times a bit too much.
You'll meet the regal lion
And the captivating swan,
The irritating donkeys
That prattle on and on.
You'll meet a tortoise, and some fish
With undulating fins.
Welcome to our carnival —
The music now begins.
by Jack Prelutsky
The concert runs approximately one hour, with no intermission.
All ages are welcome, but the program is geared to those ages 1-5.
