Dudley Taft Band at Highway 99 Blues Club
$12.00 - $15.00
$6.00 - $7.50*
Pacific Northwest blues-rock star Dudley Taft makes his first return to Seattle since moving to North Carolina in 2011, headlining Highway 99 Blues Club. Taft comes to the blues from a rock background -- he formed a high school band called Space Antelope with Phish's Trey Anastasio, was a member of Seattle bands Sweetwater and Second Coming during the grunge era, and toured the country with Alice in Chains, Candlebox, Monster Magnet and Fuel. In the decade that followed, Taft re-emerged as a blues-rocker with a style influenced by Jimmy Page, Gary Moore and Joe Bonamassa and a knack for writing original and engaging songs. He'll be joined by an all-star band of Seattle blues stars: bassist John Kessler hosts KPLU's All Blues radio show, Chris Leighton is a 9-time Washington Blues Society "Best Drummer" award winner, and keyboardist Eric Robert has backed up Keb' Mo, the B.B. King Orchestra, and Tab Benoit, to name a few.

Seating is comfortable, but if you want to see the performers play --e.g. strumming the guitar, you would need to sit where you face the front of the state, as they might not turn toward your side as they perform.Michael Shrieve's Spellbinder info • Jun 30 2014 star this tip starred
