The mischievous Cat in the Hat joins everyone's favorite Dr. Seuss characters -- including the Grinch, Gertrude McFuzz and Lazy Mayzie -- to bring the author's beloved tales to life onstage. Adapted from the Broadway version especially for young audiences and presented by The Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts, Seussical Jr.'s stories are linked together by Horton the Elephant, who's out to prove that "a person's a person, no matter how small," and JoJo, a young boy who's a "thinker of strange and wonderful thinks." The colorful cast has adventures through the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus and the invisible world of the Whos of Whoville. Dr. Seuss' sense of fun and wonder come through loud and clear, making this a musical that appeals to all ages. Learn More

SUMMARY: Overall, a good show and worth seeing at a discounted ticket price.
I've heard the name of this musical in the past, but knew nothing about it other than it existed so going into this show I had no idea what to expect. The production of this musical was really good. The space is very intimate which works well for a show that partially takes space in a cramped space. The actors all did a great job, but I just didn't like some of the music and that is an issue with the show, not the production. Also, as can happen with stories based on true events, there seems to be a lot that is left unresolved or unaddressed at the end.
