The combination of Dan and Fran seemed edgy and uncomfortable. Even though our seats were on the ground level- my friend and I probably missed about 20% of what was being said. The questions asked by the audience were also tough to hear. I am amazed hand held microphones were not available.
The option- of course- would be to return to the "Fran Valentine"- Scorsese's documentary- Public Speaking- which likely brought many of us to see this iconoclast in person.
Fran on kids:
Ask your child what he wants for dinner only if he's buying.
All God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.
Fran on “telling the truth”:
Spilling your guts is exactly as charming as it sounds.
Fran on herself:
Success didn't spoil me, I've always been insufferable.
My favorite animal is steak.
