The combination of Dan and Fran seemed edgy and uncomfortable. Even though our seats were on the ground level- my friend and I probably missed about 20% of what was being said. The questions asked by the audience were also tough to hear. I am amazed hand held microphones were not available.
The option- of course- would be to return to the "Fran Valentine"- Scorsese's documentary- Public Speaking- which likely brought many of us to see this iconoclast in person.

Fran Lebowitz is an interesting person to be sure, and so is Dan Savage. But together, their sensibilities do not blend. It was an awkward exchange we witnessed on the stage. Furthermore, for the price we paid, I expected something that was a...continued
