This was a really good show. There were 4 principal singers, and they were all really good. I especially liked the song "I Can Live With That". The grey haired tenor had a beautiful voice that I will never forget.

This production was well acted, well scripted, and full of energy. The set was minimal, but worked. The "orchestra" consisted of a piano player and a violin player, but they were both able musicians. There were plenty of laughs to be had, and some touching moments. My only criticism would be with the venue. The Magnuson Park Community Center is not a warm, inviting venue. Lots of hardwood floors. Tired color scheme. Bright red seats! The Seattle Musical Theatre would do well to put some money into the venue.

This was a cute musical review of the difficulties of dating and relationships, with 4 actors and 2 musicians performing one short vignette after another. The conclusion at the end, to live life fully while you're still alive, is a good one, and did not seem trite given all that came before it. The singing and acting were very good. The music was generally good. The violin went out of tune at one point, but it's impossible to stop and tune up when you're right on stage. Lighting was used very effectively to highlight the action. Minimal props worked well for quick scene changes. The frequent costume changes were impressive and transformed the small cast into many different characters. The venue is just a notch above bare bones. They sell beverages and let you bring them in with you, which is a mixed blessing; two streams of liquid came down the uncarpeted sloped floor from behind me and soaked two people's belongings in front of me. Some seats at the side have a view of the stage through a glass panel. There is plenty of parking.

Despite being located a little out-of-the-way, the setting of the theater is really quite idyllic, and the seats were reasonably comfortable. The show was, of course, hysterical, and the cast was very good. I'll probably be going back to SMT for future shows based on this experience.

Bonus: you get to take you drink into the theater with you, which is nice for those of us who can't chug a beer or glass of wine in 15 minutes.

The theatre was a nice setting for a community playhouse. The actors were strong but sometimes it slowed in the places and they could have had a stronger laugh. The pianist was excellent.

Four very talented actors playing 40 roles very efficiently and effectively... excellent voices and live piano and violin music to back them up... all in all, a very nice evening. nice, small theater, too, with free parking!

Magnuson Park is the perfect site for a theatre, however, when looking for a restaurant in the area, we struck out. Consequently, we went elsewhere, then returned for the show.

I was a little disappointed with "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" as a musical. I would call it a comedy with some background music. The actors were good, not great. But coming from New York, I may have a higher standard seeing Broadway shows on a regular basis. I thought the piano player was excellent. All in all I would give it a B, if I were to give it a letter rating.

I loved the musical play. The actors were outstanding, the pace was fast and I laughed the whole way through. Anyone with a relationship or dating history can relate to the story. I got a kick out of the violinist who kept cracking up when one of the actors did something that struck her as funny. Cute! The piano player did a fabulous job!

Very funny script that is worth seeing. Seattle Musical Theatre is definitely more of a local, community theatre than a large, professional theatre.

basically a comedy about stages relationships go through... and it was so spot on... very funny and at times... a reality check. only four actors and they went in and out of their parts effortlessly. the Theatre was great, not a bad seat anywhere I could see.

My husband and I went on a date night. He was irritated we were going because of a heavy work schedule ... but I dragged him there. We laughed so much, and by the end of the evening we were relaxed and had a GREAT evening! not so good for people under 18 years old. Not because of language but because they wouldn't relate to it. I'd say really under 20 ... but I suppose it depends on the youth.

Highly recommend this play.

Loved this musical! The singers were great, the music was very much in tune to the songs, and the lyrics were superb. The musical went for 2 hours with 15 minutes break. I was entertained entire 2 hours. The show demonstrate the wide spectrum of different relationships that exist between men and women, and silly things we do or don't do when we are in relationship. The musical makes gentle fun of certain quirks that we all experience in the dating world.

It was pretty good. Actors/actresses were GREAT and really made it enjoyable... But the theater was a little boring and the stage small. I guess I expected something more for the price. I'm glad I bought through Goldstar as I would have been a little ticked off if I paid $100 for 2 tickets for this play. Only complaint was that I was in the far back of the theater. And the lady in charge that gave me my tickets at will call treated me way different than the couples before me that paid full price. It was almost like they were mad that we bought thru goldstar. Oh and the wine they served was HORRIBLE... Stat set from that and you'll be just fine.

I had planned a surprise evening for my sister who is getting married, so I bought 8 tickets to a show I had seen yrs. ago and thought it was clean and funny...oh boy was I mistaken! and upset having my girs there; fam. etc, it was not at all what we remembered, the changes made have ruined the show, we ended up walking out.
I wouldn't recomended for those with higher moral standards...or who would expect clean entertainment.

There were a lot of laughs and aha moments. Parts of it were a bit raunchy for my taste and the swearing I could have done without. Overall my wife and I enjoyed a time together.

This was an excellent musical, the characters where very broad, diverse and well played. My favorite scene was The Tear Jerk. Although all of the scenes were excellent. Michael Nutting's Piano playing was superb, and tied in closely with Jordan Louie's Violin playing, the pace was well met. Jeff Church's mannerisms and facial expressions reminded me Steve Martin's characters on SNL and The Jerk. Mike Bowers performed excellent in all characters and closely reminded me of Silas Weir Mitchell, most recently in the TV Series Grimm. Both ladies, Molli Corcoran and Meghan Derr, complimented each other greatly which was readily apparent in Act 1 during Scene 4, where they pretended to listen to what the guys were saying or "lying". The singing, OH the singing, was on point. Way to go!!
Overall i was thoroughly impressed with everything, from the music, to the characters, every actor/actress and down to the scene transitions. Cast and Crew were great!! Good synergy. Loved the revolving stage, makes me excited about the Les Miserables performances coming soon!

Thank you!!

Hard to explain. 95 percent good. But sexual humor included simulated sex, under sheets, with lawyers representing unsatified! Yes, that is funny but It made me uncomfortable. I was in a date situation. Also there were children attending. . However, Very well acted, great singing voices and entertaining.
