Read an "interview ": _It’s In The Cards _performer Jayne Muirhead.

What do the Fates have in store for you? Why are you here?

All is revealed as Seattle cabaret luminaries Jayne Muirhead and John Engerman join forces to take you on a fool’s journey of self-discovery. Drawing on oracle traditions from Tarot to palmistry to astrology, Muirhead and John Engerman  will treat each audience to a unique evening of sublimely silly, unforgettable cabaret. Ancient themes collide with modern life as they twist classic tunes and blend forgotten gems with original songs.

Jayne and John teamed up in 1987 to create the ACT Songworks hit, Jayne’s Adventures in Hell, followed by Indiana Jayne and the UFO, _Jayne Unchained _and The Once and Future Jayne. In 2005 they performed together in _Menopause – the Musical _with John as music director and Jayne as Earth Mother, earning a Seattle Footlight Award.

_It’s in the Cards _also will feature several of Engerman’s original tunes, along with a generous helping of their signature tweaks and torques on music from the ‘30s through the ‘60s – and yes, even a smidge of classical music, too. With 30 years in show business, this husband and wife team are among Seattle’s musical theatre stars, and __It’s In the Cards __will demonstrate exactly why their brand of sublimely silly, unforgettable cabaret has been a hit with Seattle audiences for more than two decades.
