I was very impressed with the excellence of the Sinfonietta. They are a small group that packs a lot of punch! The mind meld between the conductor and Cecile Licad during the performance of Chopin's 2nd piano concerto was amazing! She was fun to watch as she went from powerful, full-body strokes on the keyboard to the softest caresses as the piece progressed. Her encore was wonderful and showed her love of a melody from her youth. It was all together a wonderful musical experience.
