With her signature mix of cabaret, comedy and performance art, Lady Rizo has been wowing audiences around the country for the better part of a decade. Dubbed a "cabaret superstar" by New York magazine, Lady Rizo came to fame as part of the cult "caburlesque" show Lady Rizo and the Assettes, and since gone on to sing on Moby's "Pale Horses" single and Yo-Yo Ma's Grammy-winning 2010 album, Songs of Joy & Peace, among others. Currently, Rizo's acclaimed solo cabaret show spotlights her throwback-arrangement reinterpretations of modern pop songs. Learn More

Written on Aug 03 2012One of the best concerts I've been to at the Triple Door. Maceo was amazing.
Written on Aug 03 2012Top notch funk and a nicely paced show. Maceo was super as were ALL of his side men (and a woman). Some might want to take ear plugs and I really wanted to be somewhere where dancing was encouraged.
Written on Aug 03 2012I made an effort to speak with the venue's staff upon arrival and, though I had purchased "discounted" tickets through Goldstar, we were treated very graciously. The event was superb. The Triple Door is probably the most intimate and audience-friendly venue in Seattle for live entertainment. The food was quite satisfying. The only thing I sorely missed was not having enough lighting. I knew what I'd ordered but I could not see what was on my plate. I wish the Triple Door had those small table lamps like nightclubs did back in the 40's & 50's. Other than that, everything was superb!
Written on Aug 03 2012Triple Door is a Seattle's best kept secret. It was awesome to see Maceo in such a small venue. Great seats, good service and awesome funk! Loved, loved, loved it.
