For more than 20 years, comedians Lisa Koch and Peggy Platt have combined their considerable talents as the duo Dos Fallopia. For hardcore fans or the simply curious, there is no better showcase of their sketch comedy chops than their annual Christmas tradition, Ham For the Holidays. This year's outing -- dubbed Close Encounters of the Pork Rind -- includes such celebrated characters as mother-daughter country duo The Spudds, the tiny but proud Sequim Gay Men's Chorus, and the angst-ridden Slam Poet. If you love LGBT comedy, song parodies, cheap laughs and razor-sharp zingers, you might need an extra serving of Ham for the Holidays. Warning: Although no hams are harmed during the production of the show, young minds might still get warped. Best to leave the kids at home. Learn More

New Century Theatre Company returns to the Central Heating Lab at ACT to present the world premiere of company playwright Stephanie Timm's On the Nature of Dust. From the accomplished Seattle company who previously produced The Adding Machine and Orange Flower Water.
The world premiere of a quirky and poignant new play about the complexities of mother/daughter relationships, the mysteries of faith, the intricacies of nature, and the healing benefits of fudge ripple ice cream. Shirley Bliss, an ill-equipped but well-meaning mom, and her old-soul teenage daughter Clara, are going through some major changes. Their "best buddy" relationship has devolved into a food-throwing, name-calling struggle of epic proportions.
But that’s not the only devolving that’s going on. How far will Shirley go to hold on to the daughter she knew? Why is there an ape eating a prayer plant in their living room? And what’s up with Clara’s pastor and biology teacher duking it out in the middle of the liquor store? One thing is certain: some people have some serious growing up to do.
