From one of great novelists of the American West, this brilliant adaptation takes us back and forth through time from the Montana plains to the Harlem Renaissance with a story of three extraordinary characters. Northwest novelist Ivan Doig's story follows Susan Duff, Wes Williamson and Monty Rathbun's lives as they intersect through shared geography, music and love amid the challenges of racism of 1924 America. When Monty's rise to celebrity stirs the ire of the Ku Klux Klan, former lovers Susan and Wes must contest with racial prejudice and their past.

"All the world's a stage" in this romantic comedy featuring thwarted lovers, a clown, and women disguised as men. The characters encounter twists and turns on their merry romp toward an eventual happy ending, where true love wins out. Through mischievous misunderstandings, pleasing poetry and hilarious happenstance, As You Like It shows that the forces of romance and justice can make an out-of-kilter world right again. George Mount, who staged Seattle Shakespeare Company's inventive and exciting The Tempest, once again takes the reins for a fanciful staging of this enchanting comedy. Learn More

I enjoyed the play. The acting was good. Interesting story line about racial prejudice in the NW and play had romantic angle. It was a tad long, but there was intermission. Almost a full house on a Thursday.

Wonderful writing and acting! A thrill to go to the Q & A with Ivan Doig before the play and to have him in the audience. It is hard to believe that his books have not been adapted into plays or movie before. Kudos to Book-It for presenting the world premiere.

It was a bit long. Not sure what I would have taken out but maybe it could be tighten up a little.

I am usually very enthusiastic about B-It shows but this one didn't hang together though the acting was good. Think it was the editing job. Sorry.
