One of the Big Easy's most celebrated ensembles, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band represents a musical lineage that stretches back more than half a century and is tied to the actual Preservation Hall -- a legendary venue in New Orleans' French Quarter. Led by double bassist and tubist Ben Jaffe, son of founding member Allan Jaffe, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band continues to charm and impress audiences across the country with its signature brand of New Orleans jazz.

This was a FANTASTIC performance, I loved it from the moment they entered the stage. The music was absolutely wonderful, I'm only sorry they did not have CDs for sale in the lobby. This group of musicians brought to life New Orleans in all its glory - bravo!!

You forget what real musicians sound like and don't realize what you're missing until you hear a group like the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. It was a treat to listen to them, and to watch true bandmates step back and make sure each member shines.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band was fabulous. Although it's not our favorite music, we were listening to the best, great showmen. The venue was not the most comfortable, very bad sight lines but small & intimate so that counts for a lot.
