6 of us (ages 7 to 66) went to see this show and we left at the intermission. Everyone found it extremely weird. The dancing was chaotic, the music selected was extremely unharmonious. I had a horrible headache from listening to that music. It...continued

The first weekend will include compositions from the early 20th century, including George Gershwin, Aaron Copland, and Vincent Persichetti
The second weekend will feature contemporary works from Charles Wuorinen, John Zorn, and a world premiere by Don Krishnaswami.
Charles Ives’ “Scherzo” will be featured as the festival overture at each performance.

Spectrum Dance Theater (SDT) was founded in 1982 to bring dance of the highest merit to a diverse audience composed of people from different social, cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds. SDT’s principal objective is to make the art form of dance accessible through contemporary dance performances and high-quality dance training in a variety of dance styles.
