The Seattle Men's Chorus presents a night of songs chosen via online vote. This program is sure to be full of audience favorites, and everyone is invited to sing along. But first, the SMC will give way to the talented winners of several local singing competitions for a "Chorus Idol" contest. Contestants will show off their vocal skills, and the audience will determine the winner, who'll then take over the spotlight for a triumphant victory performance backed by the 200+ voices of Seattle Men's Chorus.

Pacific Northwest Ballet Presents Director's Choice, A Tribute to Balanchine

Full Price:
$93.00 - $110.00
Our Price:
$47.50 - $56.00

Pacific Northwest Ballet's 40th anniversary season comes to a close with a triple-bill that features a tribute to George Balanchine plus a world premiere from renowned contemporary ballet choreographer Christopher Wheeldon. Often compared to Balanchine for his versatility and ability to update tradition, Wheeldon kicks off the evening with a brand-new work set to the music of Joby Talbot. Then it's the return of Balanchine's Agon, expertly staged by original New York City Ballet cast member Francia Russell and as startlingly avant-garde as its 1957 premiere. The program's dazzling finale is Diamonds, Balanchine's homage to his native St. Petersburg, which was first added to Pacific Northwest Ballet's repertory in 2006. Learn More

The Men's Chorus performed well technically, and with warmth and spirit. It was fun to see the three other groups as well. Five stars for the entire show!

Program more varied than usual; I prefer the more thematic approach. Second half better than first half.
