With its rhythm-based mix of Celtic harmony and traditional African singing called Yelli, Baka Beyond is best known for its groundbreaking world-music debut disc, 1993's Spirit of the Forest. Their multicultural live shows have thrilled audiences around the globe, turning each concert into a joyful dance party. The band's roots reach to the African country of Cameroon, where married British musicians Martin Cradick and Su Hart began a musical collaboration with the Baka Pygmy people. Since then, they've also added Ayodele Scott, who brings a beat from her native Sierra Leone.
