This event was awesome! I took my boyfriend, sister, brother-in-law, 2 nephews (12 & 13 yrs. old) and neice (8 yrs. old) and it was fun for all of us. I totally recommend this to anyone!

I took my two kids ages 9 and 7 and my boyfriend and his kids ages 13 and 14 and everyone had a great time. Thanks to the reviews posted by others that it is fun for the whole family we were able to enjoy this event and you cannot beat the price! It was a great way to spend Valentine's day together as a family!

My son said it was 4 stars. He's 7 and had a great time:)

I took my 10 year old daughter to this event and we both enjoyed it. Most of the kids were very talented and bright. We definately plan on coming back to see another show. Our favorite kids were Chad, Sam, Samantha and Shaun. There were a lot of unique places to eat nearby. We happen to choose an authentic German brat place called Brat Brothers. It was delicious. Parking is meter only, $0.25 for 15 minutes with a 2 hour limit. Saw meter maids out on patrol.
We went as a family with our 15 year old and 11 year old sons. Thought my older one would really like it--but it was my 11 year old that totally enjoyed this show! Silly comedy and acting had him rolling on the floor!
My older son thought it was ok...It was a very different event for us. I liked the adult monitor (funny guy), and the audience participation was cool.

I took my kids (7 and 12) and they absolutely loved it. Audience participation was a huge part of this, and it was fantastic to see the kids on stage doing their best to make what they were given work. Hats's off to the leader/M.C. who really provided the coordination and backbone needed to make the show go. He was funny and talented, and apparently a good coach. Some of the kids were funny, some were obviously the "class clown" variety who never seem to do anything that isn't funny, and a couple were clearly into dramatic performance. All in all, we had a fantastic time and we will be back for sure. Adults would enjoy the show, but trust me--bring the kids. You will be glad you did and so will they.
One thing that really sucked: the side street next to the theater has restricted parking, no parking between 6-8 PM. Why? I have no clue, but I did was not aware of this because a giant RV was parked on the street a few spots ahead of me and completely blocked the restricted parking sign. I got a $54 parking ticket, and I am fighting it. Best of all, the RV was still there when I got back to my car and *no* he did not have a ticket--but I did. Love that.

awsome!! many laughs...
This is really a show intended to be a showcase for the familes of the teens in the show.
I would not recommend this at all.

We wanted to do something different for our son's 8th birthday and chose this. It was one of the best birthday parties we have ever had! We had 17 people with us and filled most of the small theater. It was like our own private show and Kent, the owner and director, did an incredible job of making most of the improv skits/scenes about my son and his birthday which made it extra special. He even had my son and all of his friends come up on stage to sing happy birthday at the end of the show. All of our guests said it was one of the best experiences for their children and were amazed at how involved their kids were in the show. The actors take suggestions from the audience so it is very interactive. The kids doing the show are extremely talented and funny. Several kids in our party even asked their parents if they could join the comedy class afterwards. The large party room in the back does not seem like much at first but they provide tables and chairs and have lights strung across the ceiling. Once decorated it becomes a very charming place to have a party. All of the kids and parents had a great time and we even went back again when family came into town. You will all laugh and thoroughly enjoy it! It's a great place for out of town guests with kids - and really inexpensive for a one hour show. My kids both said they would rather go there with their friends than a movie any day.

I went with my 7 1/2 year old and we really enjoyed it. The kids did a great! There were a few moments I got nervous with the subject matter being "too mature", but the MC always changed direction in time. A very casual atmosphere, with an opportunity to interact and have fun. We're definitely going to go again!

We were basically watching a class in how to do improv. As long as you go in with incredibly low expectations it's okay. They also said snacks were available - what they meant was there is a vending machine in the back room.

This was a fun experience for the whole family. We laughed and were even able to participate by giving the actors suggestions. Now my daughters want to become involved in the LA Connection Comedy Theatre!

My kids loved it. It was funny and a small venu which made it great. We took our 9,6,and 3 year old. The older two really enjoyed it. The little one was able to sit through most of it too.

This event was great for our 11 and 6 year old boys. They had a blast and especially enjoyed the audience participation portions of the show!

We had a lot of fun at this local afternoon event. The kids tried very hard and are learning a lot by being part of the company. My son got to be in one of the skits so that REALLY made it special. Improv is very, very hard, and a few of the teens really do have a knack for it. I liked to see the other ones giving it a shot - thanks to Goldstar for offering something different (and more reasonable) than a movie for a weekend afternoon!

We brought our 5 and 6 year old as our 6 year old boy has a great enthusiasm for physical comedy. We all loved the show and were especially impressed by the hosts' (teacher's) ability to direct the performers and audience keeping subject matter respectable and appropriate! well done!

My 8 year old son and I went to this event and thoroughly enjoyed it.
My son thought it was cool that they involved the audience and he got to be a part of the show. He laughed that hard he did not leave with dry pants haha. It was worth every cent, best regards Laura.

tons of fun... really fun time they really made the most of all thier time..... real crack up..

Great entertainment. I brought eight 12-year old boys to celebrate my son's birthday. They all had fun, including me and my husband. It is like "Whos Line is It Anyway" type of comedy. The only downfall, I didn't realize, is that they didn't have food/drink service. They did have 2 wending machines, one for snack and one for drinks we were able to get to before the show. We also brought pizza and kids ate it in the back room before the show. If you're bringing food, bring some extra for the performers, they were hungry too :)

We had a great time. It was our second time back and we took our 5, 7 and ll year olds. The show is fun and always new... Lots of good energy and laughs. Highly recommend it. LOVED IT

this was our second time, great entertainment. only problem is hard to find parking.

Wonderful event for the money. My 8 year old grandson really enjoyed it and we did too. The cast were great and the MC made the show. Thanks.

Not just for the kids, but great for bringing them along. Laughed and laughed. Great value for great entertainment.

It was fun and my kids ages 11 and 9 had a great time. Well worth the time and money.

Some of the most talented young people. The performances were laugh-out-loud funny sketch comedy and improv. We took our 9 year old grandson and I'm not sure who enjoyed the show more. My grandson said it was the best thing we did during the week he stated with us. We will be back the next time he is visiting. Thanks so much for a great time.

My kids ages 8 and 13 loved this show and want to go again. Their grandparents took them and enjoyed it as well!

Had fun with my 11 and 8 boys, one got to join the cast onstage. Thumbs up.

This show is as much fun for the adults as it is for the kids. Loved it!

WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME MY TWO GRANDSONS AGES 8 AND 4 ENJOYED IT SO MUCH THAT THE OLDER ONE SAID HE WANTS TO JOIN THE GROUP

The show was really funny, way better than I expected it to be. I brought my 13 year old son and his friend and they were in stitches the whole way through.

This was more like being invited to an acting class for 12 to 16 year olds. Some of them talented. It kept my 12 year old daughter's attention. The acting teacher was terrific. And great use of audience participation. It was a fun thing to do with my daughter and her friend but I wouldn't see it again.

Theater was really small. If your children are into improv, then by all means go. this is not HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH funny. It's more like hehehehe.

I took my 9 and 6 year olds. They both enjoyed it very much, and loved that they were able to both participate. My 6 year old was laughing hysterically during some of the sketches. I would definitely recommend this show.

A great lot of fun! It is 'Improvisation' a la the TV show 'Whose Life Is It Anyway.' Good kids performing off-the-cuff creative responses when given a set of imaginary circumstances, some from audience input and some from the emcee/director. You could tell the children were enjoying performing, and our audience was entertained with the antics. The show opened with 2 guitar fellas playing modern rock tunes, and two songs would have been better than five. Very nice atmosphere with small intimate stage and comfortable seating. Charming little lobby and very nice people run the place there. Thank you very much for the show!

very cute and enjoyable for pre-teens

something for everyone who wants to laugh.

wonderful!!! Take the kids!

My husband and I went with our kids age 13 and 10.
We enjoyed ourselves and laughed out loud!
Th show is a weekly followup to a teen improv class that starts earlier in the day and culminates with the teens performing for the public. Great way to expose your kids to comedy and improv and have some family fun!

we had a great time -- laughed for 1 1/2 hours.... the kids were great and it was a lot of fun. plan to attend again and take our whole family. highly recommend this evening

I had 2 13 YO's with me and we were all pleased with the performance. Something different for us that I would reccomend.

We took our son who is 11 and his cousin who is 7 years old. Both kids really enjoyed the performance and audience participation. This is a nice way to spend a few hours with your kids on a Saturday night, and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend attending this event!

The L.A. Connection's Improve by Teens for Kids was a good time for both my 7-year-old twin boys and their parents. The kids in the show took on their improv challenges with aplomb, and created a number of laugh-out-loud moments. Some of them have some obvious talent and may go far.
My only complaint: Turn up the air conditioning! It got very warm in the theater.
