Although it was a very sensitive and touchy subject...it was very tastefully done.

I suspect the author was interested in how differently the law treats women and men who become obsessed with children. It's a provocative subject matter performed well by an outstanding cast.

Description

This involving new drama tackles the timely and sensitive topic of female teachers who have relations with their underage students. Does society have a double standard when it comes to prosecuting sex offenders who happen to be female? How’s a family to deal with the repercussions of an "inappropriate" relationship?

Playwright Linda Felton Steinbaum has always been drawn to writing about contemporary social issues that she finds confusing or that make her angry. The increasing number of reports about female teachers having relationships with under-aged students prompted her to write MUSTANG SALLY, a 2-act character-driven drama that retains her trademark sense of humor and surprising twists and turns.
