Description
Sugar Happens: A One-Girl Show is the story of Rachel Bailit, a nice Jewish girl from New England who came to Hollywood to find love and win an Oscar. The show was developed and workshopped at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Sugar Happens has been featured twice at the Comedy Central Stage, as well as the Whitefire and Gemini Theatres. The show was written by Emmy-winning writer, Sherry Coben, and directed by Phil Ramuno.
Rachel Bailit was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She began a career as a broadcast journalist while still in college, reporting for
television networks in Boston, Washington D.C. and New York. When her attentions turned toward acting, Rachel moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television. She trained at The Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. Most recently, Rachel acted in an episode of "Desperate Housewives". Rachel played opposite Greta Scacchi in the Paramount film "Festival In Cannes," directed by Henry Jaglom. She also played alongside Jim Carrey in Ron Howard's "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.".
