After successful performances around the country, The Hebrew Hillbillly, singer-songwriter Shelley Fisher's stirring one-woman show, comes to Whitefire Theatre. Chronicling her upbringing as a Jew in Memphis through her adventures in and out of the entertainment industry, Fisher's tale is a heart-warming testament to the power of dreams. Raised in the Deep South, Fisher has had success as a jazz and blues vocalist, and as a recording artist in L.A., along with creating her own romantic-comedy cooking show, Forkplay. This funny and moving show features 15 original songs, penned by Fisher along with pop composers Harold Payne and Ken Hirsch (who also serves as the production's musical director). This pre-Mother's Day production will feature a post-show reception including cupcakes and wine. Learn More

George and Ira Gershwin’s 1925 musical comedy hit _Tip-Toes _is receiving its first full staging since its restoration by the Gershwin Trust in 1998. The show includes such great Gershwin standards as “Sweet and Low-Down,” “That Certain Feeling” and “Looking for a Boy.” This charming and delightful show tells the story of three vaudevillians in Palm Beach, Florida at the height of the real estate craze who try to find a millionaire husband for Tip-Toes.
