Great "Variety" Christmas Show! This show has it all - nostalgic poetry and Christmas stories, touching and funny songs, and brilliantly acted monologues.Written on Dec 15 2008
This is really a series of 11 one-person pieces. Poems, stories, monologues, songs - they are all here. While a couple of them might qualify more as art than entertainment, the bulk of them were well performed and directed and I was thoroughly entertained and impressed.
The standout performance of the show was by Ashley Taylor who brilliantly performed the skit she wrote herself and proved once again that when someone is smart, witty, creative, and talented you can be hilariously funny without resorting to dumbed down crass/crude humor like most of Hollywood tends to do today. I laughed so hard during her performance I literally had tears in my eyes! I would suggest seeing the show for her performance alone.
But she wasn't the only good part - there were many other great performances including a touching dramatic portrayal of The Little Match Girl, a really funny Jewish take on the Christmas season, several great songs, and more.
Worth every Penny, I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to celebrate the Christmas Season. Just don't forget your Jacket - it was as cold as New York at Christmas in the theatre! :-)

Well, the Artist Director got up at the beginning of the show and said how he was especially proud of the writing and performances that we were about to see. This put me on the edge of my seat with excitement.Written on Dec 22 2008
By the end of the first vignette, I had a feeling he had embellished a bit, by the end of the fourth vignette I felt he greatly exaggerated. By the end of the show, I knew he had down right lied to us.
The audience was filled with friends and family members of the actors of each vignette. For the most part they played along with each painful segment.
If this show had been advertised as a performance from a “school of acting,” then one could have expected the poor level of scripting and acting one must endure when some are learning their craft.
However, it seems that this little assembly is under the great misnomer that they are a group of professionals. From the performances we witnessed, they are not.
There were two minor exceptions in that the last two segments, Silent Night and Santa Stakeout, these two were mostly tolerable but really not up to par.
Chalk this one up to one uncomfortable evening.

This is a warm, relaxing evening perfect for a wind-down from a hectic holiday season. It is a series of Holiday monologues brilliantly performed by a series of actors. Some of the monologues were hysterically funny. Others were thought-provoking. It's a thrill to meet the entire cast after the show, since they make themselves accessible to the audience.Written on Dec 08 2008
We plan to make this show one of our holiday traditions.
We were a party of four. Each person thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

These are holiday skits that are not for children (many exited during the show), nor for anyone else looking for holiday cheer. This is an annual show I won't be returning to. The stories/tales were depressing; many performers were difficult to hear (they don't use mics, which is fine---but then speak up!)but the worst part was the amateur level of the writing and performances.Written on Dec 22 2008
