A brilliant linguist who studies the loss of world languages faces the potential end of his marriage unless he can find the words to stop his wife from leaving. Meanwhile his archival assistant is mute with adoration for him and his newest subjects, an elderly couple who are the last speakers of an obscure language, refuse to utter a word to one another. This magically inventive comedy about communication, love, and Esperanto from Julia Cho was commissioned by Roundabout Theatre Company and developed at the O'Neill National Playwrights Conference. It recently won the 2010 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Learn More

Wonderful Production of Angels in America. Both parts need to be seen. I would commend the superlative acting on the behalf of the some of the cast, but each one was a stand out. Every character has strong scene to sink their teeth into and they do.Written on Nov 23 2009
This is black box 3/4 seating so you may have to side on a side. The direction effectively has the stage elements run in from every side so no matter where you sit you get a view of at least one actors face.
A great theater experience.

Perestroika covers many of the same themes as Millenium Approaches, but in a much more overtly 'theatrical' way. Forum Theater rose to the occasion by mounting a Part 2 that is equally moving as its strong "Millenium Approaches". Acting was strong throughout in Part 2, especially by the actors playing Prior Walter and Hannah Pitt. Wheeling the Angel around the proceedings was a brilliant choice.Written on Nov 09 2009

Description
Set in Reagan-Era New York City, Angels in America is Tony Kushner’s two-part epic on national themes, the AIDS crisis, and spiritual and political morality. Forum presents the play that affected an entire generation for the current 2009 American landscape. A colorful array of characters become intertwined as they grapple with identity, community, guilt, intimacy and forgiveness.
