Peter and the Starcatcher, the multiple Tony Award-winning show that The New York Times called "the most exhilarating storytelling on Broadway in decades," is the swashbuckling, madcap prequel to Peter Pan. A dozen actors play more than 100 characters, combining their acting talent with ingenious stagecraft and an imaginative story to reveal the origins of "the boy who wouldn't grow up." The musical play takes a hilarious romp through the Neverland you never knew in an action-packed adventure that brings pirates, orphans and secret agents of the Queen together on the high seas. Based on the bestselling novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, and written by Rick Elice (Jersey Boys), Peter and the Starcatcher boasts an all-star creative team and weaves an enchanting tale that appeals to both adults and kids. The setting was fabulous! The play was adorable, all of the players were so sweet to the kids. Lots of fun. I would definitely recommend for anyone who has kids 8 and under. (One note: Parents, let the kids enjoy it. Parents were blocking kids' views to get pictures and moving in front of kids to get closer. Try to remember that this is an event for KIDS!! Make a perimeter and stand back!)

With the help of the faery court, the children embark on an exciting quest to help the faeries return the light to its rightful owner. In this way, the children actually become part of the story and take part in the action of this musical adventure.
This critically acclaimed show is one of the longest running family shows in Los Angeles.
The tales carry simple but often forgotten life-messages including kindness, forgiveness, respect for nature, keeping a positive and healing attitude, and love for one another. The shows are appropriate for 2-10 year olds, boys and girls, and the young-at-heart. Most of the children come in costume — but it is not required.
The show runs an hour. The children can talk to the characters and get autographs and pictures after the show. Many people bring a picnic lunch to further enjoy the forest after the show.
