Actors Repertory Theatre of Simi presents the classic story To Kill a Mockingbird. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning Southern novel by Harper Lee, this adaptation by Christopher Sergel follows the journey of Scout Finch whose father Atticus has been appointed to defend Tom Robinson, a black man framed for a crime he did not commit. As the trial progresses, Scout and her brother Jem see their community divided over issues of justice and racism. The tale compels us to take an honest look at our nation's past and our moral responsibility to each other. The production features veteran actor Don Swayze (True Blood) as Atticus Finch and former NFL player Dwight Hicks as Tom Robinson. Learn More

What a great production! First rate performances by all, especially Michele McCrae as Patsy Cline. She captures the emotion and sound of Patsy Cline's voice and performance to a t. Worth the trip and bargain cost. Don't think you are going to see a community-theater-caliber show, this is a professional production that would be just at home in Los Angeles as it seems to be in Simi Valley, where it has been quite successful for some time. I will definatley be back for the next show at Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center! And the staff at the theater could not have been nicer! Thanks, Goldstar!Written on Sep 29 2008

An enjoyable evening of live theatrical entertainment. The actress portraying Patsy Cline did a wonderful job and had great stage presence with a wonderful voice. Not a bad seat in the intimate theatre. Great show!!Written on Jan 22 2007

The show was great, but the venue did not have enough heat. Everyone was wearing their coats, gloves, scarfs, etc... I had a fur coat on and was still cold.Written on Jan 15 2007
The venue indicated they have no control over the temperature. It is controlled by city hall in a different location.

Always, Patsy Cline tells the true story of the special friendship that developed between Patsy and a Texas housewife.
