Actors Repertory Theatre of Simi presents the classic story To Kill a Mockingbird. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning Southern novel by Harper Lee, this adaptation by Christopher Sergel follows the journey of Scout Finch whose father Atticus has been appointed to defend Tom Robinson, a black man framed for a crime he did not commit. As the trial progresses, Scout and her brother Jem see their community divided over issues of justice and racism. The tale compels us to take an honest look at our nation's past and our moral responsibility to each other. The production features veteran actor Don Swayze (True Blood) as Atticus Finch and former NFL player Dwight Hicks as Tom Robinson. Learn More

Absolutely fantastic. This is the second production of this I have seen (I saw it a couple years ago at the OC Performing Arts Center), and while smaller than the first, this was every but as powerful and well done. Hats off to the entire cast and crew. Flawless and spectacular. If you have not seen this musical, GO!! (*Definitely not for kids!! Adults only.) The venue is very nice and modern. About the same size as the Madrid on Sherman Way, and nicer.Written on Mar 06 2012

Description
Adults love AVENUE Q, but they seem a little, er, fuzzy on whether it's appropriate for kids. We'll try to clear that up. Avenue Q is great for teenagers because it's about real life. It may not be appropriate for young children because Avenue Q addresses issues like sex, drinking, and surfing the web for porn. It's hard to say what exact age is right to see Avenue Q -- parents should use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children.
