Actors Repertory Theatre of Simi presents the classic story To Kill a Mockingbird. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning Southern novel by Harper Lee, this adaptation by Christopher Sergel follows the journey of Scout Finch whose father Atticus has been appointed to defend Tom Robinson, a black man framed for a crime he did not commit. As the trial progresses, Scout and her brother Jem see their community divided over issues of justice and racism. The tale compels us to take an honest look at our nation's past and our moral responsibility to each other. The production features veteran actor Don Swayze (True Blood) as Atticus Finch and former NFL player Dwight Hicks as Tom Robinson. Learn More

If you are a Hank Williams fan than you should enjoy this tribute. It was nice becuase we could sing along with the cast who all played their own instruments by the way. I especially liked Keith Borden(Tee-Tot) who was had a beautiful singing voice that captivated the audience everytime he sang.Written on Jan 12 2009

I loved this show from the opening number to the end. Two strong singers in Hank Williams (performed by Tom Mesmer) and Tee-Tot (Keith Borden)who were great contrasts. The band members were also tops in their back-up roles. The story line was more intricate than the recent Patsy Cline show, but there were a few less songs. Any fan of real country music will love this show and embrace the differences.Written on Jan 12 2009
