Stephen Sondheim's thrilling musical masterpiece Sweeney Todd delivers a bloody good time with its tale of murderous "barber-ism" and culinary crime. Set in 19th-century London, the story follows the title character, who after being banished for 15 years on false charges, returns to exact his revenge on those who wronged him. Teaming up with local pie maker Mrs. Lovett, they open a barbershop in which he slits the throats of customers and has them baked into pies ... or does he? This darkly funny show has been shocking and delighting audiences worldwide since its 1979 Broadway premiere won eight Tony Awards. It has since been made into a hit film by Tim Burton with Johnny Depp. Learn More

This was GREAT. Any Monty Python fan will love it, especially those of the Holy Grail. Fantastic production with excellent acting and vocals! Seriously--great voices here. This is a high-quality production with excellent *everything*. GO.
Warnings: 1) This sells out, so book early (it's that good). 2) Some profanity--not a lot, but a bit. 3) There is a burlesque/showgirl-type component throughout (which I personally loved!). 4) If are a grumpy sourpuss, this may cause you to laugh a lot, so just know that going in. ;)

What a fun show. I went in to it only knowing a few of the gags from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but I smiled my way though this show. There were a lot of good laughs, and the actors were wonderful! Mad props to King Arthur, Robin, and Lancelot!
