Actors Repertory Theatre of Simi presents the classic story To Kill a Mockingbird. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning Southern novel by Harper Lee, this adaptation by Christopher Sergel follows the journey of Scout Finch whose father Atticus has been appointed to defend Tom Robinson, a black man framed for a crime he did not commit. As the trial progresses, Scout and her brother Jem see their community divided over issues of justice and racism. The tale compels us to take an honest look at our nation's past and our moral responsibility to each other. The production features veteran actor Don Swayze (True Blood) as Atticus Finch and former NFL player Dwight Hicks as Tom Robinson. Learn More

More Information About StarDUST (Adventures in Consciousness)

Description

In StarDUST (Adventures in Consciousness) Doug Motel re-creates some of the funny, touching and inspiring adventures in his unusual life. From teen years living in Times Square working as a stand-up comic, to his time spent in Hollywood as a film and television actor, Doug has seen a lot and learned a lot of hard lessons.

His eyewitness accounts of America’s miracles and tragedies, including the LA riots, earthquakes and finding himself in lower Manhattan on the terrifying morning of September 11th 2001 weave a highly entertaining tale of awe, sadness and ultimately hope for the future of humanity against the backdrop of Doug’s own desperate grab for 15 minutes of fame.
