An A+ for effort and supporting local arts is definitely important, but at times it felt as if I was watching a high school drama club being "naughty" trying to pull off the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. The dancing and singing was fun but the audio made it difficult to hear the actors over the orchestra. "Jewel" lives up to her name as the star of the show.
Great production. It's a little different than the movie. Some of the same songs and some different ones. This is a great place to see stage productions. Just the right size theater. Any seat is good. We always choose the balcony.
This was wonderful community production of a classic musical comedy. The principals had great chemistry and the cast had talented singers and beautiful dancers. The show has lots of satire and burlesque adult humor. The theatre is a gem of Ventura County. Seeing this show would be one of the best things you could do this month.
