3rd row center seats for a very enjoyable production. Professionally acted and staged. Bring a jacket inside with you on cold evenings. Ordering early does not help, Goldstar sends all of their orders the day of the event.

For an opening night it started out shaky but got better as the evening progressed. I will have to say that the person in the box office was pretty behind in getting tickets and because of it the show started 45 minutes late. But the actors were really good, I was really impressed with the gentleman that played Carmen Ghia, He was a riot and stole the show! Also the gentleman that played Roger and the German were fantastic. All in all I really enjoyed myself and look forward to seeing it again as the month progresses! A fun night out and a fun night had by the 16 of us that were there that night.

Quality show for the price. This was the 5th time I've made the trip to the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. Next show I plan to see here is West Side Story in July/August.

Description

One of the top grossing Broadway hits ever, The Producers, is coming to the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, February 21, 2009 and will play through April 5, 2009. The Producers is a musical comedy adapted by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan from Brooks' 1968 film of the same name, with lyrics by Brooks and music by Brooks and Glen Kelly.

As in the film, the story concerns two theatrical producers who scheme to get rich by overselling interests in a Broadway flop. Complications arise when the show unexpectedly turns out to be successful.

The Producers is the winner of the most Tony Awards in Broadway history. It has enjoyed a healthy touring business worldwide and is just now being released to local theater companies.

Directed by Fred Helsel, with musical direction by Gary Poirot, the show will feature Bart Sumner as Max Bialystock and Bobby Dantona as Leo Bloom. Becky Castells is the choreographer on the project and Susanne Klein is the costumer.
