This is choral art at its most sublime. The ethereal sound of human voices unencumbered by instruments, floating in the vast spaces and exquisite natural acoustics of a cathedral. Featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams' mystical and deeply spiritual Mass in G Minor, as well as a selection of sacred choral works by Felix Mendelssohn, including the exuberant Ehre sei Gott in der Höhe. The Definiens Project
The Definiens Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to redefining chamber music in a contemporary context in order to eliminate the boundaries between classical music performers and contemporary audiences.
The mission of The Definiens Project is to expand and diversify chamber music audiences through redefining the live chamber music performance experience in a contemporary context. They emphasize the value of communicating to an audience by:
* Performing a diverse selection of repertoire including music that crosses over into the pop, blues, electronic, jazz and other genres.
* Employing imaginative programming, staging, lighting, and image projection to focus on constructing a vivid multi-sensory experience for the audience.
* Presenting programs in non-traditional spaces (outside of the concert hall) to allow audiences to experience chamber music in less formal settings.
