Chicago's Arcada Theatre presents Frankie Avalon. Emerging as a teen star in 1959, Avalon topped the charts with such enduring songs as "Venus" and "Why." He later became a movie star, appearing in a popular series of beach party movies with Annette Funicello. He went on to make some 30 films, and was later introduced to a whole new generation of fans when he played Teen Angel in the hit movie Grease. Today he remains one of the busiest nightclub performers in the country, playing the finest supper clubs and headlining top Las Vegas hotel show rooms. He'll be joined by classic '50s rock and roll group Sha Na Na.

Wow he can still entertain... great night... his son is the drumer and son of Everly Brothers in band too... he does a slide show of his family what a statment of the person he is... Great Great Great Do not miss this if you get the chance... Arcada what a beautiful old theater... go to anything there it is a treat to see this place and the very old pipe organ...Written on Mar 15 2012

Frankie Avalon was great, the theater is nice but our seats in the last row of the balcony had very little leg room. The Acada Theater also has a lack of bathrooms, there were long lines for both the men's and women's rooms. However the evening was great fun and would do it again.Written on Mar 12 2012
