Dracula -- the world's favorite and most famous vampire -- may best be known for his bloodcurdling (and slurping) feats of shape-shifting, mesmerization and allurement ... but sometimes he's just gotta sing! An upbeat and humorous musical spoof of Bram Stoker's immortal creation, Dracula: The Musical follows its young heroine, Sarah, as she journeys to 505 Transylvania Avenue -- prompting a fun, funny and family-friendly adventure that features classic horror film favorites like Igor and the Bride of Frankenstein. Celebrate the Halloween season with songs and howls of laughter courtesy of the Youth Performance Company. Learn More
Sadly there is not a moderately priced cafe/wine bar within 2 blocks. The nearby Radisson (maybe it's a Towne Court) has a very mediocre restaurant. On the corner is a LOUD place 'Waters....something' but I'm concerned that restauranteurs ignore needs of 'mature' people. I sincerely hope when St Paul redoes the former Macy's block, it includes a restaurant/bar similar - if not the same- as the old Rosewood Rm.Courting Harry dining • Apr 11 2014 star this tip starred
This family has been regulars at the History Theater for years. We have always parked in the ramp by the Children's Museum, just a block away. Now we are looking forward to taking the light rail from the burbs and avoiding parking all together. When the Central Corder opens in June, the train will stop literally at the door of the History Theatre. This tremendous venue will be incredibly accessible from anywhere the light rail goes or can be picked up!The Incredible Season of Ronnie Rabinovitz info • Feb 15 2014 star this tip starred

Interesting and well done. Well cast. The music and choreography were quite good. Good historical accuracy - except the hookers and lawyers scene - which contributed very little to the story. Well written songs capture the history, the circus atmosphere and the intense personal emotions.

I love the History Theater, but the in-your-face superficiality of this tragedy bored and irritated me. I understand that "the press was over the top" was the point, but a little more variation from non-stop manic would have been a relief, and...continued
