Ethnic Dance Theatre: Uncommon Threads: Folk Costumes of Europe
Uncommon Threads: Ethnic Dance Theatre Explores European Dress & Dance
COMP - $7.50*
Forget "clothes make the man" -- clothes make the culture. From military uniforms to street clothes to haute couture collections, clothes chronicle a society's values as much as its creativity. And surely there's no more colorful, or more gorgeous, cultural "chronicle" than the folk clothing worn by Europeans in the 1800s. Now the artists of the Ethnic Dance Theatre (EDT) will give life and movement to the some of human history's finest garments in Uncommon Threads: Folk Costumes of Europe. Using various types of media as well as real-life examples from EDT's extensive collection, the company will explore the evolution, craftsmanship and dance traditions of these remarkable costumes.

When my family goes to the History Center we always make it a point to eat at the Cafe. Everything on the menu is Minnesota made with all Minnesota products. The soups are always wonderful. We haven't tried all of the pastries, but we've never had one we didn't love. There is often a vegetable or even vegetarian item on the grill menue. The Rose Ensemble: A Toast to Prohibition dining • Jan 24 2014 star this tip starred
